I found a solution to the problem. After connecting the PC to a PC monitor the first of the 3 games started without any issue (my TV and PC monitor are from Samsung).
I saved and closed the game right after the moment when the gamer can start playing and shut down the PC, reconnected it to the TV and restarted the PC and the game through Steam. Now it is working on the TV as well. I haven't tried the other two yet, but expect that this procedure will work as well with them.
The same happened with another very recent game, Miasma Chronicles. It froze during the first setup procedure after installing, and the support from 505games didn't know what to do about it.
Any idea why some games have issues with this TV for the first launch, while many other games don't?

Might be because the Pixelformat of your TV is NONGDI, meaning not a 32 bpp (bits per pixel) GDI desktop mode.
But that is just speculation on my part.
