Mass Effect Legendary Edition Never Launches

EA, fix this game and let us launch it from Steam. Your launcher is entirely useless. Every single time I try to launch this game, it just says "Preparing game" and then does nothing. I have tried everything people have suggested online, but nothing lets me actually use the game I paid for. Just give up, let us use Steam - you aren't going to make a good launcher.
