Mass effect legendary edition stopped tracking hours played on xbox

Hi, I have been playing mass effect legendary edition on Xbox and been loving it, but today I realised my time played has stopped tracking when playing mass effect 2. I know there’s an issue in game also, but I like going to Xbox achievements and then stats to see my overall playtime. But I’ve been seeing 3d 3h 49m for the last day or two. This is very frustrating and I just started playing mass effect 3 and now my time has shifted to 3d 4h 51m which means all my playtime on mass effect two has been forgotten. Can I please receive a fix for this?

Thanks for the report on this, @xXDragenSlayerXx. It's something I've seen pop up a few times and while definitely off-putting, it fortunately doesn't appear to affect any progress or gameplay at all.

    I appreciate the post!
  • @xXDragenSlayerXx I'm guessing you were using the quick resume feature from the launcher when playing Mass Effect 2. When using this, it resets your ME2 playtime to 0 when it loads into your save. My first ME2 playthrough was at 3hr when I beat the game (impossible, I know),
If you press Start, not resume, and manually load your ME2 save it will track your playtime normally for future playthroughs.
  • Yes I’ve already noticed an issue in game with mass effect 2, except when I use quick resume my hours don’t reset they just keep adding up even when my Xbox is switched off. For example my playtime on mass effect 2 inside the game is 140+ hours which I know is incorrect. The issue however that im talking about is the playtime being tracked in the Xbox achievements- stats where it’s stopped tracking my playtime. It’s strange because it seems to only track on mass effect 1 and 3. I thought because it’s on the Xbox itself it wouldn’t be a game issue. However after realising that it’s mass effect 2 causing this issue I thought it must be the games issue.

  • It’s definitely of putting as I’m someone who highly appreciates tracking playtime and it’s one thing that sometimes keeps me playing just to find out how many hours I can sink into a game, however if the game isn’t tracking playtime I find I loose interest sooner which sucks because I just finished mass effect 2 and loved it. Is there anything I can try to do to fix it? I’ve just reinstalled the game hoping that might solve something.
