ME 1 & 2 LE Stutter with Vsync

Mass effect 1 and 2 LE have stutters with vsync on, but without vsync there is extreme tear.

i already tried any other enforcement on the graphics card control panel (vsync adptative, fast, etc), and the stutters remains with vsync on.

i cant understand the why's since my card is only at 40% capacity. (nvidia 960 4GB)

Anyone knows of a fix for vsync stutters?

What happens if you cap at 59 FPS.

Do you use Vsync in game or in the driver?

If in the driver, what setting?
    Do you use triple buffer?

  • Likely your card can't keep up with the game.  What graphics settings are you running, since your card is below recommended specs but above minimum you should be running fairly low graphics quality.  Stutters or low frame rates with vsync on means your system can't draw the frames fast enough to be clean at higher rates thus when you turn in off you get tearing.  You also have to look at cooling, screen resolution, CPU, and system memory....what other programs are running in background and how much are they taking up of your system resources??

this is a old card, but more than enough for this games.

the game doesnt have "many" graphic settings, so i just have antialiasing disable, everything else enabled.
but i already tried every options and none of them afects the stutter

and like i said on previous post, it is not power, since with vsync on its only at 40% capacity. Plus if i do disable vsync, then it goes all the way to the top in FPS (240), and it gets very smooth (i lose the mini stutters), but the tear ☹️

so far the best way i found to play it, is vsync off (in game) and vsync fast on on graphic card panel (nvidia), but stutter still there while i have vsync.
its not a hard stutter but i m sensible to stutters on camera movement.

i forgot to add, the game has weird behaviour at low fps. for example with vsync off, if i cap the fps at 60, stutter hits harder, but if i push fps cap to 120 then it goes away and it gets smooth.

1st game i have ever seen this pattern where the lock on low FPS makes perfomance worse.
