ME: LE Mass Effect 3 Freezes and Crashes

Hey everyone, I need some help with Mass Effect 3 in the Legendary Edition. I had this issue 3 days ago when I decided to redownload the game to finally finish ME3 after having it uninstalled for several months. But when I click start a new game or do anything, the game freezes and crashes. ME1 and ME2 have no issues at all.

I’ve tried uninstalling and redownloading it, as well as disabling Steam Overlay in game, but it still didn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really want to play this game so badly.

Please add a DxDiag to your next reply.

A DxDiag is an overview of your PCs technical features and recent software errors.
There is no personal info in it expect for the “Machine name” in the second row.
(You might delete the “Machine name” and “Machine Id” line if you wish too.)

    How to create a DxDiag:

    1. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    2. Copy and past or type "DxDiag" in the new field. (Without the quotes) > ENTER
    3. Wait until the green bar is gone > Click on "Save all information"
    4. Save the file to your desktop.
    5. Here at EA Forum > Click Replay > Click the paper clip icon at the bottom of the replay Window.
    6. Navigate to the "DxDiag.txt" on your desktop > select the "DxDiag.txt" > click on "Open".
    7. Reply.

Sorry for the late reply, this thread escaped my notifications.

Mass Effect 3 crashes with a standard access violation.
The problem is that this can have many reasons.

    Do you use Mods?

    Try to repair the game.

(EA app: Game Library > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)

Yeah, I play with mods. Tried what you said, but no luck.

The first step would be to vanilla the game to see if a mod is the culprit.

I assume you used "ME3Tweaks Mod Manager"? You could use the backup & restore function of ME3Tweaks  if that is the case.
