When in the launcher, the game has no problem detecting any controller I have connected to my PC. When I launch any of the games, the game does not detect the controller in anyway, as if it's not even connected. I can't find any way around this? What's the issue?
I managed to fix my controller issue (8bitdo sn30 pro+) on Origin, please note that I don't know if you can do this on other controllers:
-Close Steam if you have it open
-Change your controller mode from Xinput to Dinput (In the case with 8bitdo controllers is usually with X+Start)
I had this exact same issue, it was a nightmare. I have used Origin and EA Desktop with an Xbox Elite Series 2.

I haven't found any and I've tried everything that's been suggested. Would be nice if EA/Bioware actually acknowledged this problem.
It's extra confusing for me because my PC has a fresh Windows installation with nothing else on it other than games so I can't imagine what could be stopping my controllers from working with this game.
I have contacted EA support. They unfortunately do not have a process for feedback of when/if this will be resolved. It has supposedly been reported as a bug. They have suggested repairing the game. This may work for some people but it did not work for me. Still probably worth a try. Hopefully it will be fixed soon! I guess we just have to look out for patch notes as there is no direct contact. @EA_Atic
Having this issue with PS4 and XBox Series X controller. Very frustrating...

Tried everything in this thread and others but nothing helped.
Any type of acknowledgement or incoming fix timeframe would be very nice.
Really hate that it says everywhere the game has 'full controller support' yet so many are having this issue. Shame.
I have the same problem too on the Origin edition (not available on Steam in my region for some reason). The only people who I know got it working are using the Steam edition. I tried Xbox One and PS4 controllers without any luck. It works in the launcher but not in the games.
I don't mean to disrupt this forum by necroposting, but I was looking for threads about DualShock 4 support and it appears to be the oldest one. So... Here I am: Please, add official support (button prompts) for the DualShock 4 controller. I lent my Xbox One controller to my brother-in-law and now I have to play on mouse and keyboard. 😅
My dude thank you. I was having the issue, on the launcher controller worked and once in game nothing. I was having a problem with nier automata also not picking up controller which I will have to redownload to check now, but I disabled all consumer control devices (6 of them) and it worked. Thank you my dude.
