ME1 Galaxy Map Bug???

Playing ME1 Legendary on PC/ NVIDIA GTX 1050... Not sure if it's just the card (I know... It's old...), but the Galaxy Map doesn't have any "sparkling" stars to show additional finds and locations for side quests. Noticed it on the Privateer side quest. If it's consistent on multiple cards or platforms, people new to the game won't notice that they're missing things.

  • I don't recall that ever being a thing? Generally a person has just to that cluster, then system and then each individual planet to either survey and land upon. Of course not all planets will have the option to do any of that.

@Cliffme1ster There are "pick ups" in the galaxy map when you travel to a system. Stars that "twinkle" are where you find other things. Take the Privateer side quest for example. If you don't see the star twinkling to signal something is there, then you're on what could be an endless hunt for something that is basically a gimme.

@Cliffme1ster I try to find everything there is to find, whether it's resources, the medallions, or something to complete obscure side quests. In this case, if you can't find the privateer ship, then you're just leaving a side quest unfinished, which I don't like to do. I actually had to look at a YouTube video to give me an idea of where in the system to find the ship. That's frustrating.
  • @sfkatz Can confirm I am having the same issue, I've resorted to spamming my mouse everywhere until something shows up haha, hopefully it can get fixed soon. I'm also referring to the planet index on the mass effect wiki just incase I have missed a hidden sparkling location.

@Saltenado_xx Thanks... I didn't think I would be the only one who noticed this as someone who has replayed this game multiple times. However, newcomers won't notice until they've racked up a bunch of incomplete things and start to question why.
  • I'm also experiencing this bug. I missed so many secrets on the galaxy map (completely forgot about them considering the last time I played was 10 years ago). Had to go back to each area and painstakingly scan everywhere.

  • @sfkatz Come here just to report this. Glad to see that someone alredy reported that (or not... because is now far more than a year since this was reported and it still is an issue...)
