ME1 Game crashing after Thorian fight

@newtn00t  Try repairing the game.  If you play through Origin, clear its cache first:

Open your Origin game library, right-click on the MELE icon, and Repair.

If you play through Steam, open your Steam library, select the MELE, click the gear icon to the right of the title, choose Manage > Game Properties > Local Files, and click the button to verify the integrity of the local files.

Okay it only worked once and it stopped working. I can't load ANY save file at all. 

@newtn00t  What happens when you try to load a save file?  Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

I've tried two different ways of loading up the game. Clicking 'resume' and 'start'.

Resume brings me to the ME1 title screen, wherein I click any button to get the game running. It brings me to a loading screen, the animation for the mass effect relay stops then the game crashes back to the launcher.

Start brings me to the same title screen, but this time it allows me to go to the main menu. I can either click 'resume' or 'load career' and both options bring me back to the loading screen where it crashes yet again. I thought Feros might have been bugged, but trying to load earlier saves crashes the game back to the launcher as well. I've attached my dxdiag to this post. Hopefully we can find a solution, I've never had problems like this with ME1 vanilla before.
