So I'm almost done with ME1 LE, and I'm on Ilos doing the trench run. However, at one point there is a massive ledge that I dropped down on foot (I thought I couldn't bring the MAKO). I thought it didn't matter since I could easily fight my way through the geth on foot, but now I just had the cutscene with the geth attacking the citadel and I get the 40 second timer to get to the relay. This is literally impossible without the MAKO. So, is my entire play through of ME1 wasted, or is there some way to get past this point without the MAKO (or some way to get the MAKO back)? I already tried backtracking just in case, but there is an invisible wall halfway through the trench so I can't even get back to ledge.Please help, as this is completely game breaking and it's kinda heartbreaking that it's happening right at the end.

Sorry but that is not a bug. You can't blame the game because you choose to go on foot during a mission called "race against time" instead of using a much faster vehicle. Also this happens to the end of game and by that time you should have notice that there is not much hands holding (which I greatly appreciate) so you are king of responsible for your actions including how often you save. Just as well as if you have too much damage on Mako and not enough omnigel to repair it and gets destroyed before reaching the conduit. I understand you are frustrate because what happens but is no one to blame here. Also pay attention to what happened here because ME2 and ME3 are even less forgiving in terms of decisions.

@sweetpoison0011 This is a ridiculous reply. Of course the game shouldn't allow the player to get into a situation where it is literally impossible to progress or reset the level. If the intention was for it to be difficult or challenging, then it would make sense to make the player replay the level if you fail or lose the MAKO. It is clearly a bug, and I don't know why you took time to even reply? Are you against EA fixing this issue or something?

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing this, even back to the original game. Doesn't mean that it didn't happen, but just that it never even occurred to me that someone would do the trench run without the Mako.If all you have is your autosave, and you're on foot, then I doubt that there's anything that will help in terms of reloads or whatever. If you're not averse to using console commands, you might try the SpawnVehicle command. That should spawn a Mako at your location. You could also try temporarily giving yourself unlimited Storm time and using the SetRunSpeed to give yourself super speed, although I don't know if you'll be able to set it high enough to make the run in time.

@Ravidrath"a game-breaking bug"? are you serious? This is an RPG game (see here what that means https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Role-playing_game ). Honestly, in Illusive Man's place would you invest in rebuilding a character which make such a pour choses? Is no point on going to ME2 or 3 if you can't figure out such a simple thing like taking the vehicle with you.Maybe BW should had added a new achievement for that, something similar to t_urd burglar achievement (for those who knows about that).

This happened to me too and I'm heartbroken as well. I get that I did it to myself, but it doesn't change the fact that this really makes me want to stop playing through this beloved series again.

@sweetpoison0011 It is fundamentally not part of the game design of mass effect that you should restart the entire game if you make a mistake. That is not the intention of the developers, so it's a bug

99.9% of all of the other time you spend in the mako you're supposed to be able to exit and enter the vehicle, including on the trench run to visit Vigil the prothean VI..
It sucks that it happened though but its part of the games mechanics, nothing else.
Have you tried loading an autosave? Also i know in ME2 there's a "restart mission" save that you can run, try looking for that.
Outside of that, i'm sorry mate but you're out of luck

I had the same problem yesterday, as there is currently no way do enable console in LE (as far as I'm aware), I bit the apple and loaded the last save (before lading on Ilos) and played the whole mission again. With skipping all dialogs it took me about an extra ~20min, but it is a bit stupid that it can even happen.
