ME1 Ilos MAKO bug
So I'm almost done with ME1 LE, and I'm on Ilos doing the trench run. However, at one point there is a massive ledge that I dropped down on foot (I thought I couldn't bring the MAKO). I thought it di...

Well... I hope you don't work as a UX Specialist in a video game development studio... 😆
@Bowi_QCNo idea what UX stands for but no, my day by day job it's much worse: system administrator - a job where no one appreciates you when things goes well but got blame when it doesn't.
Doing stupid things in games it's part of learning kerb same as fixing the own mistakes (like using console to spawn the vehicle or teleport),
On this particular case, you had all the hints to suggest using Mako. Lots of heavy armored geth including colossus type, a door large enough with Mako facing it and a mission's titled "race against time". There is no excuse for going on foot (although there are logical explanations like using god mode and superweapon which prove Mako useless in terms of firepower and protection) yet if you do at least assume the responsibilities for bad call.
Can't even imagine how well you will do in following chapters (ME2 and ME3)
Sorry, but this is a game-breaking bug, and Sony and MS would've prevented the game from being released if they had caught it.
Just because the developers intended something doesn't mean that the player should be able to get themselves into a no-win situation. That is literally the entire point of QA testing.
Also, the fact that there was an invisible barrier preventing this in the original release also shows that a tester found this before and they did a quick and dirty fix, which was somehow broken in the remaster.
This also means it's probably an easy fix. If they wanted to go the extra mile, they could spawn a text pop-up that says something like "You wouldn't survive this fall. Go back and get in the Mako."
And for the record, this just happened to me. Was in the groove, wasn't really thinking and ran by the Mako. Fortunately I have a save before Ilos so I have recourse. But they should absolutely fix this, and telling people to get over it doesn't give you gamer cred or whatever you think it is that you're doing.
@Ravidrath"a game-breaking bug"? are you serious? This is an RPG game (see here what that means https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Role-playing_game ). Honestly, in Illusive Man's place would you invest in rebuilding a character which make such a pour choses? Is no point on going to ME2 or 3 if you can't figure out such a simple thing like taking the vehicle with you.
Maybe BW should had added a new achievement for that, something similar to t_urd burglar achievement (for those who knows about that).
