ME1 max level still bugged?

Did you level up with the new patch? Maybe it doesn't fix it right away for saves created on an earlier version.

Getting to 30/60 shouldn't be possible in a single playthrough anyway. It also looks like you get max import bonuses in ME2 as long as you're Level 56 or above, so it shouldn't matter.

(I did verify with the console that giving enough XP to reach max level does finally grant Level 30/60, so they obviously fixed something.)

@devSin  Yes, it levelled up from 27-29 with the new patch, but then I noticed that I was stuck on 29 for what seemed like a really long time. I managed to get Paramour and Insanity achievements at least.

Are you sure? I remember max level 60 had its own rewards. From Wiki:

• Importing a level 50 through level 59 character will grant 2,000 XP (the player starts at level 3), 30,000 credits, and 5,000 of each resource.
• Importing a level 60 character will grant 4,000 XP (the player starts at level 5), 50,000 credits, and 10,000 of each resource.

So I'm missing out on earned XP and credits.

And to add, I even scoured every map again for things not initially shown on map, like some thresher maw battles. I also completed every single collection going above max and confirmed my totals per: UNC: Valuable Minerals | Mass Effect Wiki | Fandom (this also includes the Asari writings, Turian insignias, Salari medallions, etc). And I made sure I got every single quest from Citadel, also matching my quest logs to the Wiki. I am 100% sure i did every single thing that grants XP.

I haven't verified, but from what I can see, they changed it in the remaster. It goes up now every other level past 50 (+500 to XP, +8000 credits, and +2000 resources), and the original max bonus is achieved at Level 56 (and remains the maximum bonus all the way to the level cap).

There is definitely not enough XP in the game to reach max level in a single playthrough. The curve for the last 10 levels is huge (and dwarfed by the curve for the last level alone).

Ok, importing at level 57, i received: starting level 5, +4000 XP, 190 paragon (was 100% paragon, 0% renegade in ME1), 150,000 credits, and 10,000 to each resource. Is that the max bonus?

@devSin Ok thank you! I’m glad i still got all bonuses. Still weird that the ME1 max level couldn’t be achieved tho after the patch.

Yeah, it might not be retroactive. Who knows.

I did verify that it works on a fresh character, at least when you cheat a bunch of XP in with the console.

But as long as you can hit Level 56, it doesn't really make a difference. The extra talent points wouldn't have been useful, and it doesn't give any additional benefit in ME2.

Pre-patch, I got tpo lvl 30 in ME1 & lvl 59. Besides doing all of the side missions, also, planet/asteroid surveying and finding every resource on the planets gives $$$ and XP. Also hitting all of the codex entries helps big time. Some are right in front on you, others are seen by chance. Admittedly, I used the  exploit to max out my charm/intimidate, which opens up (that I knmow about) at least one mission that is given by Adm Hackett when going into the galaxy map (the mission on Nonuel) once you make 75% of the intimidation.

After the patch was implemented, even though I was maxed out in XP at 862100 (that's the needed amount to get to get to lvl 60), I still never made it. But just clicked on a codex marker and it leveled me up to 60, even though I was already at 30 on legendary mode and got I an additional XP point.
