ME2 Joker Mission Failure need help - and Spoiler

Platform: PC


Help!

I can't beat the Mission. Every time I crest the stairs from the cargo hold, I end with a mission failure as a collector cut scene hits when JOKER is about to get to the door. 

I've tried this mission 7 times now and failed at the same point.

What's crazy is that I've played this mission many times on the original ME2 for the PC, and had no issues whatsoever. 

Now I'm frustrated. I must be missing something. The moment Edi says go, I go. I dash/run/sprint and each time it looks like I'm about to succeed, and then cut-scene and mission restart. 

Seriously, I need help for my own sanity. Not sure what to do. I don't think this is a bug, perhaps just a new twist for the legendary edition. Not sure. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    @masamuned77 I think I know, you have to watch for the shadow flickering across and when it has passed, you can move.

    I did that perfectly my very first playthrough and then memed it a bunch the next run.

    @masamuned77

    If I understand correctly, this is the part when you're going up the stairs from "Jack's lair" to the Engineering deck?

    If so, just wait until the Collectors pass through & the door closes behind them. You can track their shadow and then get further up to actually see them by turning your camera.

    Also, always use the paths that are lit up by EDI, she guides you all the way through (flashing lights on the ground).

    I did not have any problem at this scene though (XSX). I could safely get up behind the Collectors while they were still in the hallway.
