I'm having the same issue where ME2 Legendary crashes at the same place every time right after talking to tank bred Krogan and after the first major battle with Blue Suns but before getting to the Warlord. Game freezes then crashes to the desktop. Attaching DXDiag.

On a whim I loaded up a game that I had finished and went back to a save before recruiting the Krogan and it crashed as well so there is something haywire about this quest since you folks did your fixes. I suspect that it is a pixel issue as the crash always happens at the exact same place.
I also decided to go back to one of my old saved games prior to the legendary edition to see if the quest crashed there as well but it worked just fine. Thus the issue is specific to the legendary edition not my system. I suspect that there is something within the new updates that's creating these crashes. More than likely it's an error within the new graphics of the Recruit Krogan Warlord quest as all other aspects of ME2 Legendary seem to work just fine.
Try to repair the game.
Origin > Game Library > right click MELE > Repair
Steam > Game Library > right click at MELE > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.
(If you are on Steam, use the Origin repair as well.)
