ME3: Alliance-themed armor sets instead of Cerberus?

I wonder, why hasn't this been remedied? I remember seeing mods for the original ME3 with good quality Alliance armors replacing the Cerberus themed ones.

It always felt weird that Shepard officially gets back to the navy, but still rocks Cerberus sets instead of Alliance colours. The Ajax armor for example would look really damn cool imo - I think similar looking armor is already used by Alliance NPCs.

  • Yes it is a little odd. Both Kaidan and James have a set of Ajax armour which I always put them in. Seems strange that Shepard doesn't have an Alliance one too.

  • Same here I never use Cerberus armour because of the look will love to see Alliance armour.

  • @felker_s I think that's what the N7 Defender Armor is suppose to represent. I just stick with the regular N7 and layout of choice. Works best for me.
  • I don't think it's much a problem as: Cerberus comissioned to build the original Normandy to observe Turian construction methods (I suspect the Turian equivalent was also involved) and the best donors are in the Alliance Military Industrial Complex plus Anderson and Hackett were running a Cerberys like round of experiments on the colony James Vega fought off the Collectors thanks to a developed antidote against the seeker swarms (explains why the Virmire Survivor managed to escape the Collectors on Horizon) but if you want the full actual story, see the Mass Effect movie Paragon Lost which also shows a Cerberus operative partly working with the Collectors (James Vega only says a few bits of information regarding his mission).

    Yeah, that was his first time with the character and he was also working on ME3 at once.

  • Alliance themed armors would be great. They would only need to add a slider in the game since the armors already exist. I support this idea!

    @Cliffme1ster
    I use the Defender atm. But still, the Cerberus Ajax would be the best regarding its bonuses, but damn it's so immersion-breaking for me. :D

    I also rocked a crappy medium Onyx for ME1 endgame, since I was tired of being in a Scorpion armor for the entirety of the game... Anyway, that just further proved how easy ME1 has become, I haven't noticed any negative impact while playing on insanity.
