ME3 servers security breaches ?? Game is on sale!
Hi,
I was happy to hear that ME3 was available on Steam...really.. but it is really really hard to stay that way for the following reasons:
Mass Effect 3 is an active product and being sold including its multiplayer now on multiple platforms. Why can't EA keep its servers secure? If some guys somewhere can manipulate data on your servers, then what would stop them from further exploiting the game protocol to spy or "hack" other players through the ME3 MP?
Hence my request: Please please please patch up ME3 MP servers (or the game). Here is an example from the ME3 leaderboards taken on 31.08.2020. It shows the ranking of ME3 MP challenge points (as seen on http://n7hq.masseffect.com ) :
The first guy has his profile private so I will skip it. But let us take the second one. I do not think you can achieve this number of challenge points normally in-game. Here is his profile (public: http://n7hq.masseffect.com/?name=glorysniper&platform=pc ) :
Now check the number of "Games played" which is "1315860281" : Even if you play a game every second (which is obviously not possible), you would need more than 40 years to achieve that.
So I am kindly asking EA:
Can you assure us that your servers are secure? You are notified about it now (that this online service is breached), aren't you worried about possible law-suits if your clients' PCs get hacked/damaged by the breach (that you are already aware of) in your game?
Please patch this up (not to mention that this partially kills the joy of playing the ME3 MP). Thank you 🙂
