ME3LE PC - Misalligned Bloom and Pixelated particles

This issue is seemingly exclusive to the PC version, and wasn't present in the original game and not present in console LE. ME1LE and ME2LE were fine.

Screenshots showcasing the issue here and here

As you can see, problem is very visibly misalligned bloom and pixelated particle effects, as well as pixelated omni-tool. Screenshots taken on PC, 1440p, maxed settings, no tweaks. RTX 2070 Super with latest drivers on Windows 10 Pro, latest stable update.

This issue seems to be specific to some areas. Citadel, Mars, Normandy are full of this, but I'm on Eden Prime now(Javik mission) and both bloom allignment and particle quality are good, the way they should be, except for the flashbacks of Javik fighting Collectors, the issue is present in those scenes too. Very weird. I tried different .ini and Coalesced tweaks, as well as a game reinstall, no luck.

If anyone finds a fix, please let me know, because it's driving me crazy.

  • The same problem, I also play on 1440p rtx 2080 super, these particles are already pretty infuriating, I hoped the new patch 1.03 from 07.06 would fix this bug, but no. And this bug is absolutely in all parts of ME LE, ... tried to reinstall, did not help. You know, I have a feeling that this bug is present only on certain PCs, maybe on those where rtx cards are installed? Since the release of the game, only 5-6 people have reported this problem... we advised you to set bloom = false in the BIOengine.ini settings, I tried it several times, but after starting the game, the bloom parameter again became true by default. Apparently, there is no way to do without a new patch...

  • In short, I figured it out, if I may say so. The only way to remove these damn glowing particles is to add the DepthOFField parameter to the gamersetting.ini file and set it to False, the particles will disappear, but the image quality will become noticeably worse...
