No need skip anything. When you end up with two of these missions, just continue doing them. Eventually one will complete early. Then you can finish and actually see the movie watching happen with the other one.

Thanks for playing through far enough to verify that. Now I can continue my play-through instead of waiting however long for another patch....assuming they even fix progression bugs like this in the next one.
