Music not looping or stops completely during exploration and combat

Just like the title reads, the music in many areas of the game such as the Presidium or during combat sequences will have the music play once and not loop until another song takes over.

Sometimes the music just stops completely. It doesn't happen all the time but it's pretty noticable when playing for a lengthy period.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or is it something on my end?

  • @Aliaxiner Yep, I'm experiencing the same thing too. Sometimes, the ambient noise will also cut out while I'm raiding a base, making the mission eerily quiet.

Yes, exactly. The only sounds I would be able to hear for a bit when that happens is either footsteps, gunshots or characters speaking.

  • @EA_Atic I'm on the PC through Steam. My sound system is Nvidia High Definition Audio but I also use my Sony headphones. It seems to be very noticeable during uncharted world exploration when riding the mako for a example. The music stops when driving and only plays when you're paused.
  • I'm on PC (Steam) as well, using Realtek HD Audio. The sound in the game is great for the most part (no distortions or dialogue cuts so far). The only issue I've had is the music/ambient noise sometimes cutting out randomly. It's rare, but it does happen. Sometimes, the music would also stop abruptly during a mission when I enter the inventory screen and would only play again when I reload a save.

I did some research and apparently, there were people experiencing this same bug from the old ME1 game. It seems the bug must've carried over to the remaster.
