[PC] Can't Equip Multiple Rare Augmentations at Once

Not sure is this thread is even alive, 6 years later. 

Here is my Issue:

I have played Andromeda multiple times on PS4, never had issues with crafting or getting gear upgrades. This time round, now that I have hit level 20 and can craft level 4 gear & weapons

none of the given gear/weapons have upgraded in development beyond level three, so no new pathfinder kit at level 4 etc,... annoying but not awful. 

What really sucks is that when I try to craft, say the level 4 Helius defender armour or the Black widow level 4 sniper rifle I cannot add more than one augmentation during the crafting process. 

I put an aug in slot one, move to slot 2 and, despite having 15 or so options in my list the Ui tells me I have none available. This seems like a bug, but I can find nothing about it online. Help
