It just doesnt work. EA Care does not have an option to start a case on a CD Key. EA App says that it is invalid.
Just use another option, like "I need help loading my game" > Then use the chat option to get in touch with a game advisor.
Where did you purchase this key?
It is an old disc copy that I foud in my Dad's cupboard. We live in india and the disc was bought here if it helps.
Community Manager@INSAS With the older CD codes, they worked on a different DRM system and linked with the old Origin client. If the code is valid, you will be able to use it with the EA app. You would not be able to with Steam as Steam uses different sets of codes.
If the code simply says invalid, it may be expired.
If the code says already used, or anything similar, it has been applied to an account already.
What you would have to do with this, is contact live support and have them look up the code. The forums are not the right avenue to get code issues resolved. This is where live support comes in and handles these types of issues.
@EA_Shepard Sorry for bothering you, but how do I access live support? I live in India, and the EA Help website does not have any option for opening a case about CD Keys. Thats how I got here in fact.
