[PC] ME3 Sudden poor performance and crashing
As per the title I've suddenly encountered incredibly poor performance and frequent crashing. I'm about 70 hours into my playthrough and a fair chunk of the way through Mass Effect 3 now and had yet to have any major issues in any of the three games.
Last night I was playing the 'Arrae: Ex-Cerberus Scientists' mission when during the final fight of the mission the game suddenly crashed and sent me back to the launcher. I reloaded my game from there but around 5t seconds after the level loaded it crashed once again, this time it also effected the launcher which would not respond to any inputs and had to be closed via task manager. I rebooted the game and around 5 seconds after it loaded my most recent save it crashed to the launcher again. At this point I decided to repair the game in Origin. This seemed to work as the game successfully loaded my most recent save and I finished the mission, only for it to crash to the launcher once more during the end of level cutscene. I guessed that the save was bugged or corrupted and instead just restarted the entire mission - here I experienced extremely poor performance with the game regularly dipping below 10fps and freezing momentarily, after completing the first enemy encounter the game once again crashed. At this point I was frustrated and tired and went to bed.
Before playing today I tried repairing the game once more and decided to load a save I'd made about half an hour before beginning the mission I'd been having trouble with but ran into the same problems once more. I loaded an even earlier save and this seemed to work, the game was stable for a good few hours and I began the 'Omega: Aria T'Loak' questline, getting a fair way in until
At which point the same old issues of crashing to the launcher with the launcher eventually breaking too began again. I'm feeling pretty exasperated as this appears to be an issue that'll dog me for the rest of my playthrough (if I can even play the rest of the game) so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
