[PC] MEA missing online access. Help me, EA_Shepard Kenobi. You're my only hope

Good morning. I am having an issue almost identical to one that a friend of mine had some time ago. Here issue is shown in this thread:  [PC] Mass Effect Andromeda missing online access | EA Forums - 9246631

I see that the community manager EA_Shepard was able to resolve her issue there, so my hope is that the issue can also be resolved for me. Here is a brief summary of what went wrong. I bought MEA back in 2023 and started playing the multiplayer of the game that year. I enjoyed it very much and kept playing it nearly every day, to the point that my apex rating is now around 86,000. I even bought the game for my son so he and I could play together. Recently I was troubleshooting a technical issue on a different game (ME3) and temporarily unlinked my Steam and EA accounts. They were linked again later that same day (February 21st). All of my other EA games are functioning just fine. However, it seems for some reason that MEA did not re-link correctly. The game shows in my EA app and can launch, but for some reason it does not recognize me when I get to the main menu. So I am in the unusual situation where I open my EA app on my account (tinylessons) and I see my games/friends/etc., but MEA does not know who I am when I reach the main menu. ME3 and Titanfall2 both recognize me when I sign in there, so no problem with those games. I tried signing into MEA on my old computer and also get the same error (shown in the screenshot attached), so I know it is an account issue rather than a device issue. My steam account is definitely linked, as can be seen in the other screenshot here.

EA_Shepard's final message on my friend's problem earlier says this:

@loonaxx Had some folks deep diver into the account. There is an issue with the account itself which is being looked at but the game itself should be resolved. You may need to repair or uninstall the game but that error should not happen hen you log back in.

If it does, please uninstall the game and reinstall the new version that is on the account. I also had the 2nd charge refunded so that should be returned to you within a few business days.

If you continue to get the error, update the case on your account and let them know that the error persists.

Cheers!

I am pretty sure this same issue is affecting my own account now. I have tried repairing the game and reinstalling it, but no such luck so far. If anyone from EA's team can help me, it would mean a lot - my son is bummed that I haven't been able to play with him the past couple days.

tinylessons Okay, so took a look at the account. You should be good to go. I would do a repair on the game just in case. If you still get the error you may need to do a full reinstall. Sometimes, the registry file tries to load files that aren't "active".

    Let me know what happens!
