Per Reddit: Calling for a blackout of ME:A multiplayer.

I'm participating, and so are a lot of other people on the Mass Effect Co-op Sub Reddit. We can make change happen, but only if we all come together. Starting April 8th I and many others will not touch multiplayer until an announcement of MAJOR changes and improvements to multiplayer. 

Sure, might as well.   I really wish powers were both more impactful and not as plagued by awful cooldowns.    Honestly this could be solved with a global 25% cooldown reduction,  and slightly increasing all cooldown modifiers,   and then adding a cooldown bonus for being under the weight limit. 

Weapons are just as bad though,  the majority feel like airsoft guns.   Hell I feel like some pellet guns would be more damaging. 

And I hope these changes apply to Singleplayer as well. 

You got my support..... oh wait.  I don't play the Multi Player.  Mostly because of thing you listed.  Oh well, still got my support.  :D

you kids are being dumb (if theres a "nice" word for dumb by all means let me know). all the armors are not in the game yet here you are crying for balance, the 2 gold armors remaining are for shotguns and sniper rifles and pistols and assault rifles, the silver one is for tech powers (and theres NOTHING stopping them from adding gold versions OF the current silver ones and vice versa in the future).. but you want them to balance the game NOW and then re-balance it when those come out? sure it would have made the most sense to have all 6 available for the first week THEN go into rotation to avoid the crying (and make no mistake, thats all you are doing at this point is screaming for milk) but thats not what happened. instead they have added 2 classes and a map IN THE FIRST MONTH. im not happy that they are wasting even a second worrying about how a trannie is perceived and squeezing in more gay sex in single player either.. but they CERTAINLY arent ignoring multiplayer.

theres an old saying: "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" and its old because its true. all youll be doing by not playing multiplayer in protest is telling them the franchise isnt worth spending money developing multiplayer FOR because the only ones playing it are babies.

Sooo.. you guys say all Weapons and Powers are too weak. Exept Vanquisher, and Melee maybe?  Oh wait, both got nerfed with this patch.

Now start playing better, this isnt hack and slay ;p

I agree on the Point that Multiplayer needs some fixes:

- The Ability to Change Host

- A Latency/Bandwidthcheck in the Lobby, with an automatic Hostswitch maybe.

- A Benchmarklike Check if your PC / Connection / Firewall is able to host matches, with the ability to prevent being choosen as host.

- A Textchat in the Lobby is needed. In the match would be nice too, but only with mutefunction.

- A quick way to adjust Voicechat in the match (mute and volume would be nice, could be in one slider)

- Personal Preference: Delete Always On Micro! Push2Talk is way better with random peoples.

So, these were some Points that came to mind when thinking about it, BUT:

Keep in mind that Mass Effect is like 90% Singleplayer, i am not that sure that a "Blackout" in multiplayer will have such a big impact.

And it is not like they dont do anything. Lets keep yelling, but give them a chance to fix things up^^

Dude the game is only out for a couple of weeks... they are still working on it hard. This isn't Ubisoft - no need to over react. Also over using this method will just get companies used to it

I'll be making a point of playing some extra MP on the 8th as I'm really enjoying this game.

I don't think this will happen, but as it is the recent changes have made me quit multiplayer anyway.

I'm not gonna quit either, not because of those reasons. 

However, i believe the Bronze level of multiplayer is balanced.

Silver and Gold are not balanced yet, the changes made yesterday with the patch for multiplayer are simply not good enough to play the way you want to (with skills and weapons), or rather the way that's intended on silver and gold. 

Gold is extremely restrictive in what weapons can be used to successfully complete a Silver or Gold - Vanquisher, explosive weapons and Raptor being the only viable options. 

Gold is also extremely restrictive in how powerful biotics and tech skills are, they may as well not exist on Gold for all the damage they do. 

All assault rifles are fine on Bronze, and only bronze. They are not worth taking on silver or gold, unless you're using the M37 falcon (explosives).

I hear what you're saying, but this is not the right way to go about asking for changes to make the game fun instead of a grind with weapons you dont really want to use but have to because they're the only effective ones on the latter two difficulties.

You can do good damage with many weapons in gold and make them viable you just have to be using the appropriate soldier class such as Turian havoc. I, for example went into a gold with a level 3 havoc IX last night and got over 20k points. My pistol w as great. You just need to be using turbocharge and skilled appropriately in weapon damage - AND use them correctly.

Actually you can do a lot of damage if you play a weapon class as a weapon class, just shoot them in the head and or combine it with turbocharge. A LOT of guns are viable.
