@felker_s Interesting. Never experienced that (I think). Another things that I forgot to mention is that sometimes applying any biotic affect that ragdolls them (like Stasis) seems to occasionally leave them helpless seemingly forever, even after the biotic effect is over (ME3).

Yeah, try breaking a box and running into the rubble. Sometimes it will deplete your shields immediately, and if you're unlucky, the next steps you take can kill you instantly.
To the problem you mentioned: yes, especially in ME3, I've noticed that pretty frequently Cerberus soldiers simply don't get up after being lifted with Singularity for example. I don't remember this being an issue in the original game though.
