@PsychotpsWe like the challenge, that's why we play on Insanity. But I agree with OP, both the starting thermal clip amount and their drop rate are laughable. Even with offhand ammo pack, I constantly run out of ammo.
This is something they said they'd adjust, and it's still totally crap. I make do with an infiltrator since I have three weapons to switch around, but I can see how playing an adept could be pain.
Also, the infiltrator is supposed to be a sniper class - having a total of 10 shots against 15 enemies who have different kinds of protective layers is a pain, what's the point of being a sniper if I have to go close quarters to loot "ammo"... Early game, headshots are not always instakills even after the shields/armor/barriers are down.
Sorry, don't agree at all with this. Ammo is tight, but its supposed to be. The only way I could get behind more ammo is if there was a "solo" mode.

It's just funny how ammo is not even a thing in the universe, then suddenly "it is supposed to be tight".
As I said, I make do as it is, and a good squad setup helps balance this out. I'd say it should be slightly adjusted - the current one is not the "challenging", but simply the "annoying" category.

Even a good squad doesn't work. The PC is tied to certain squad possibilities at the beginning. The most reliable are Kasumi & Jacob in the beginning. Miranda and Zaeed die almost all of the time. And considering I am only at 4 medi-gel, each one counts for each revival. If two goes down, I use two meds. The easiest solution would be for the devs to just allow the transfer of all upgrades from a previous finish of an ME2 playthrough, like ME1 does. The money shortage is a major headache.
Tbh, it's no big deal, I just like to get the "Insanity III" achievement
