Priority: Geth Dreadnought will not start
I have no idea what to do or where to start. This is my first time playing Mass Effect 3 and I don't want it to end already.
I am currently playing a modded version of ME3 LE on Steam (through Origin), though hopefully this isn't the issue--my installed mod list is available upon request.
My problem is this: I cannot start Priority: Geth Dreadnought. I can select my crew, I can select and mod my weapons, and I can allocate my skill points. But the moment I confirm my final choices, the game displays the Normandy loading screen and then it cuts to black. No cutscene, no sound, nothing. Absolutely nothing.
AND YET. When I go back to the auto save for the supposed mission, it will load. It will load Shepard into a floating, astral void with a single armor bench in front of him. I'm guessing this is a proxy zone for choosing your weapons before loading the actual mission, which I can do. I can interact with the armor bench and make selections and once I confirm, black screen yet again.
Please, please, please help me figure this out.
Thank you for whatever solutions you can help me try.
What Mods do you use?
Realistically, this is most probably a problem with a Mod or the game files being corrupted.
Both can only be repaired if you vanilla the game by repairing it or by uninstalling/disabling them with "ME3Tweaks Mod Manager".
Repairing is still the saver option though.
Repair:(Origin: Game Library > Right-click the game cover > Repair)
(EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)You can reinstall the Mods once you are in the mission to see if the game still works, if not, one of your Mods is the culprit.
