As Steam and the EA App both use DRM, there is another underlying issue as the game download is the same. I've never seen that go missing personally so it is an odd one. Can we please try the following and see if the steps work for a new game? @r33s2 Have you completed the quest "UNC: Hostile Takeover" from Helena Blake? Have you progressed more and received any terminal messages?

As for the sniper rifle, is it now allowing you to swap to other weapons at all?

Yes I did the 2 crime lords and that is why I ned to go that system.
No I cant use anything but a sniper rifle.

This is my 3rd play through as the first 2 had different problems that stopped progression.
1st one was I could not interact with a NPC that I needed to.
2nd one I was sticking to walls and couldn't move even with a reload.
I have this game with Steam and have verified it many times.
I really like the game but boy what a mess.

I personally have the game through EA. Is it possible the issue is because it's through Steam, in your case? I've heard people having issues with EA games. Just last time, a guy was complaining about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and he had it through Steam. I had the EA version, and it worked fine.

@EA_Shepard I use ccleaner regularly but stop it after cleaning registry.
I have uninstalled then deleted steam folders and reinstalled.
I am running a ROG Ryzen7 and nvidia rtx 2060 S
I have started 2 more game since and never run into the same bug twice, the latest progress stopper was not being able to activate the the beacon in Virmire even after I restarted PC then verified files in steam.
I am at the point of just not playing the game because it just doesnt work.

but it is on a different drive to steam and I am moving it to that drive soon as it DLs.

It was most probably the other drive that was causing the problems as it runs much smoother now and no bugs at all so far.
