Re: Can't Download "From Ashes" DLC

This is unbelievable. How is it possible that no one can/want to help with this issue? I have bought that DLC and now I want to download it. I can't play Mass Effect 3 because it contains a companion I'd like to use.

It can't be any local issue on my system because I checked it with another computer - same *.

    @Zakuro89

    Do you have "The Final Hours Of Mass Effect 3" installed?

    Did you tried the solutions outlined in this thread?

    If yes, uninstall Origin after this guide, then download Origin from here and install it again.

    "The Final Hours Of Mass Effect 3" I don't know what that is and I can't find any extra content with that name in origin.

    Yes I did try the solutions (as mentioned above) and I reinstalled Origin but (again as mentioned above) this is NO LOCAL ISSUE. I tried another computer (never had Origin or any games on it) and installed Origin there. The download doesn't work there either. When I try to download DLC without the game installed, it will download the game but if I try to download "From The Ashes" NOTHING happens.

  • I got the same issue now, i tried both to delete the cache stuff and reinstalling both Origin client and the game, neither worked.

    I cant find "DLC_HEN_PR" nor do i have  "The Final Hours Of Mass Effect 3" installed.

    @TheFrolkinator

    Try to clear the Origin cache again after this guide.

    Please clear your temp files:

      • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time
      • Into the new window, type or copy & paste:  "%temp%"   (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
      • Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
        (If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

    All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

      • Close Origin completely.
        (right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
      • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
      • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
      • Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder.
        (The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
      • Move the "Mass Effect 3" folder from the "LocalContent" folder to your desktop.
      • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
      • Type or copy and paste "%AppData%" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
      • Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder.
      • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder.
      • In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on "AppData".
      • Open the "Local" folder.
      • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder.
      • Restart your PC. > test

    Hi, first of all thank you very much for the guide.

    Sadly It did not fix the problem.

    Also I am not able to download 'From Ashes'  either with Origin nor with the EA App.
    Thou I bought the DLCs long time ago.

    I get the 'standard error'

    I have the same problem with the Multiplayer DLC 'Rebellion' which is not really important for me.

    Kind regards

    Taske

    @Taske666

    There is a general problem with this two DLCs in the moment, EA is working on it as it seems.
