@EA_Mako Does this mean we cannot play the game in our region?
If we buy the game outside of Origin will it work at all?
Also, I don't understand the big deal here, just remove the restriction and let people from the ME region buy from the IRL store, the price is the same anyway, why make this so difficult?
If they would like to share the code on github I would be more than happy to help fix the issue.
How this even possible if I can buy all ME trilogy, but not the remastered one? What is different? What's so special about this game?
- @melikaora I really hope we will be able to play the game when it is released, either by using a third party cd key website to get a key or on Steam, I am starting to think the game will not work in our region at all....hope I am wrong about this.
Just spoke to EA reps here is the full issue:
This is not a bug or code issue, it is a law issue.
Some countries in the Middle East do not allow specific Adult content in games (and mass effect and also Dragon age have the romance option which is specified as such).
This restriction is unfortunately applied to all countries in the region.
Thankfully this is not a server limitation or a game limitation only a store limitation, so retrieving the key from 3rd party websites and redeeming it on Origin should work with no issue (I am saying should as I received an answer from EA saying that it will work, but I don't want to take any responsibility if it turns out to be wrong).
I guess we just need to buy it from Steam or other cd key websites.
- @Xx-Gimmle-xX Okay, I hope it will work through Steam. Such a disappointment that it is an issue at all in our region. But still, thank you for the information!
Hello,
Can you please help us, becuase someone Blanket blocked all Middle East it blocked Israel too, thats insane.
Im sure you understand that we are not related to other countries in the region and have no idiotic laws about nudity or lgbt.
Thats a mistake and it has to be fixed.
Thanks

Whole month has passed and no fix yet.
There is no law that forbid Mass Effect series in Israel or anything like that.
So the question is the same: why we're banned from buying it?
