Re: Changing photo mode file format

@PaxnosBMP, TGA and TIF always preserve the image quality compared to JPG, PNG or GIF.
Use reshade which allows you to save screenshots in JPG (with compression quality at your choice) and PNG format. Rehade will always capture what you see so set up camera and effects in Photo mode, hide GUI and take screenshot with PrintScreen (defaut key ).

Hey @sweetpoison0011, thanks for your reply! Usually I take my screenshots with Steam (and ticked on uncompressed copy, which gives a PNG, incidentally), but for some reason it bugged out throughout and is missing a few screenshots that I did also had stored through ME's internal mechanism, so I needed to resort to those BMPs. 🙂  PNG is a lossless format too, though, with lossless compression mechanisms built in. It's why ME's exported uncompressed BMPs always have a constant file size (5.93 MB for 1080p), but PNG can get significantly lower depending on the image content.

It's not really a big deal though 🙂

@PaxnosIn log run it's much better to go for reshade which allows you to take screenshots anytime and in any game.

I'd just as soon use JPG format. Or at least give us the option to choose between output formats. My issue with the format is that they aren't something that can embedded or previewed in a lot of programs and social media easily. Discord for example forces people to download the and doesn't preview.
