Dig Site Ladder Bug (PC)
I keep running into the bug where descending the ladder in the dig site location after taking down the Banshee is crashing the game. I have tried everything I have found to try to fix it - looking up...

First try repairing the installation. There are a lot of freezing, crashing, and loading glitches caused by file corruption (because they dump ~20K files to your drive).
If you're talking about the Leviathan crash, I remember that ladder (barely). I also remember that lowering resolution and/or focusing the camera on nothing was one of the best ways to get past it, so if that's not working for you, I'm not sure what else to recommend. Did you try limiting FPS to 30?
I tried lowering the resolution as much as I could and turning the graphics as far down as I could and focusing the camera on basically everything. Tried for a little over 30 minutes to get it to work properly. When I looked into, I didn't find any videos of it occurring in the legendary edition. In the original, the character would get stuck at the top of the ladder, mine is completely closing the game.
It sounds like repair is your best bet (you'll do it from Origin or Steam, whichever one you used to purchase the game).
If it doesn't find anything and you're still crashing, I'd recommend capping it a 30 fps (now that there's an in-game limiter) and trying again. And finally, if that doesn't work, you can attach a DxDiag and hopefully somebody will come along with some more ideas.
