it works flawless for me in offline mode.

Try to clear your Origin cache.
All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.

You will need an interconnection to register the game again after this. 

  • Close Origin completely.
    (right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
  • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
  • Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
  • Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder.
    (The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
  • Delete the "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" folder inside the "LocalContent" folder.
  • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
  • Type or copy and paste "%AppData%" (without quotes) into the new window > hit ENTER
  • Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder.
  • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder.
  • In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on "AppData".
  • Open the "Local" folder.
  • Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder.
  • Restart your PC. > Log in online for the first time > test offline.

    well that sucks... i can't play it offline with EA Pro (according to another thread) but this sounds like a lie, because all my games are EA Pro and i can play the Sims 3/4 and other offline games when i am offline (or could the other month and i never *owned* them (thats what i meant when i said i bought it... because i subbed to Pro)

    So they must have updated their system???

    Still going to try it... but if this is correct ... yeh... EA is not getting anymore of my cash because it worked with other EA Play/Pro games in the past - so darn confused right now

    So i have 50 mins for verification on ME:LE before i can even try it

    **Source = GW2 actually works in offline mode and that is EA Play/Pro also!!!!

    yep so EA can 100% go do one!!!!

    testing others because they USED to play offline (Even ea play and pro games... this is sickening the amount of greed these companies have now!!!

    this is ******** stupid !!!!!

    **ALL GAMES LISTED are sub only and 98% of them work offline... WHY NOT THE OTHERS!!!!**

    PLEASE NOTE: those which do not work offline ask for a secondary sign in - or CTD

    Those which ask for a secondary are Frost Punk and ME:LE and For The King (ME:LE and FTK used to ask for the secondary sign in but don't anymore and just CTD  - Frost Punk is the only one which now asks for it) **DisplayName Field Missing From Registry >>> Sign in Box**

    Edits are now complete - reply at your lesiure ... hopefully before i lose the internet on Sunday so i can fix this, because obviously it is fixable, because the Guy above claims they work offline... and he is a *community helper**

    @Barneylee279 

    Try to disable all Network-adapters in the device manager > Start Origin and make sure it is in offline mode >  Test.

    so... after trying to load ME1 from ME:LE 63 times (yep... 63 times - i counted... Autism sucks!!!) it now loads when offline... but ME2 and 3 do not.... maybe it will take that amount of tries for the both of them?

    i have tested this 100s of times now (and even done it in a video - if you watch it you will be able to see the complete issue...)

    ISSUE:

    SOME TIMES it works in full offline mode... SOMETIMES it does not... regardless...

    If i load ME2 or ME3 in offline mode (even though they have been verified) the refuse to work 100%... then when i try to load ME1 again after i have tried loading the other 2 in offline mode it will refuse to work 100% UNTIL i reconnect)

    If you actually understand why it only works intermittently before you watch the video it would be amazing for a reply

    @Barneylee279 

    This is strange. You disabled all network devices in the device manager?

    You could see that it did work, so there is a local problem.

    yes i disabled both in the network adapter properties...

    And if you watched any of the video at all... it shows it working in offline mode... then it shows that it refuses to work in offline mode... then it shows none of my library is shown in offline mode... then it shows the library has turned up again in offline mode... then it shows that if i load ME2 or 3 in offline mode they refuses to work entirely... then it shows that ME1 will constantly refuse to work in offline mode until i reconnect

    No idea what the local issue could be at all... i have no clue about ports and so have not messed with them, so it is nothing i have done...

    But i do remember a few months ago that i signed in to *Origin test version* but i have since reinstalled origin since then so it should now be default Origin

    My system is:

    Windows 10

    32 gig ddr4 (2x 16)

    DX11/12 and Vulcan

    RTX 2080 Super OC 6 gig

    Single 1080 monitor

    Point is... as i have mentioned above... every other game (apart from those i have listed) launch every single time without issue when in offline mode.. so it HAS to be a launcher issue right???
