Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Purpose

@draconiamI didn't had LotSB DLC in original ME2 so...
As for achievements yes, the description is wrong letting players to believe that Kelly (ME2), Diana (ME3) or Liara (ME2) can trigger it. Curious if Morinth gives the achievement for romance because that would be for a laugh.

@sweetpoison0011 Ok, so the DLC offerings Overlord, Arrival and LOTSB had two achievements tied to the game but Bioware took out 4 for the remaster. The other one for LOTSB was to meeting Liara in the Normandy and players akin to a loyalty mission. It baffles me why they didn't add the option for players who don't want to cheat on their ME1 romance a the Paramur trophy specially Liara when there is an option to rekindle the romance.

@draconiam Honestly, never cared about achievements as I don't have any one to brag about and I take satisfaction on playing the game more than looking at some badges. And if I'm not mistaken there are more achievements removed in remastered version like playing most of ME1 with a specific companion, leveling achievements and I guess some about combat. Overall I think is more appropriate to set new achievements after complete integration of DLC.
For ME2 I kind of played last part twice only to see if the achievements are impossible to gain as many posts here are suggesting. There was a problem indeed as the achievements on Origin and those in game were triggered in same time and only one was validated (the one on Origin). Mostly when the achievement was granted in same time with a new scene loading. I did got all anyway by playing again the last part of the game.
In terms of normal play I always follow paragon only in ME1 with romance Liara and lose Ash, lots of renegate choices on ME2 since there are more appropriate in terms of story and no romance, combined paragon/renegate in ME3 and romance Liara.
Back to original topic, this remastered worth for me every single coin. Hell, the missing ME2 DLC were jalf of the remastered price so hell yeah I had to buy it. Also I did waste lots of time and effort with all original games to make them look better and still far from how they look being done by BW.

@sweetpoison0011 The companion Achievement/Trophy are there in ME1, Bioware just reduced the number of all the required quests (side quest, delivery quests and main story counts) to 5 for all of them and made it possible to get the Biotic, Tech and Soldier awards just by selecting them on companions on valid targets (currently Platinued both ME 1 and 2, I need to complete ME3 once to Platinum and then start all over again in the first game on Insanity to finish up the shares trophies.

I never played the third game DLC quests or the unavailable Pinnacle Station DLC so this is an awesome package. My choices are ME1:
-male Shepard, sent Williams with the Salarians, Alenko turned that nuke on and demanded I go to save Williams and I honored his final wish saying he didn't had a single regret, didn't kill Wrex, saved Kirrahe, Paragon but did filled the Renegade option to get the most out of the game (Lorik Quinn exploit), saved the Council, romanced Williams and helped Wrex get his armor oh, helped Tali on her Pilgrim and got Dr. Heart killed with Garrus.
Oh, Udina as councillor (felt good what happened to him in three, I think me and Williams were competing to kill him on the third game).
    ME2:
-be suspicious of the big obvious bad guy, meet with Anderson on the Citadel to talk with the Council and get Specter status again, full Paragon but this time just 50% Renagade, find out that for some miracle Williams isn't captured by the Collectors (Bioware made a movie called Paragon Lost about James Vega and how that in the colony he was the Alliance was developing an antidote against the Swarms using Cerberus like testing on prisoners that attacked the colony and a Cerberus operative who sabotaged the coms relay as he and his boss were looking for ways to pass the Omega 4 Relay, Vega only stated he saved the data over the colonists but kept quiet on that bit to his Specter CO), The Illusive Man intentionally leaked and twisted Shepard association with his org to get someone as Williams to act as a bait and people like her and Anderson bought the whole line, hook and sinker (but due to unavailable data we the player never really got the intel that Cerberus did also play a role in a colony strike, and let's be real TIM dealt with the Collectors before as he knows a lot about them), recruited all companions prior to the Reaper mission, did some missions and gained all but Tali loyalty. When I was done with the Reaper I activated Legion, did Tali loyalty with it and then talked again with Legion to get his mission and after blowing up the Heretics (Shepard wanted to brainwash them and argued that Geth and organics are different but after realizing there was no guarantee that they wouldn't go back to worship the Reapers we blew them up). The ship crew got captured and as I had all ship upgrades plus loyalties and a heck of an armory we went there, blew them up and lost no one.
On the DLC well: did Firewalker, LOTSB, Overlord (I once left David but now spared him as there isn't a tangible use for the data, my little brother has autism and this DLC angered me agaisnt his older brother) then did Arrival.
    ME3:
-currently going to Palaven after the Mars mission fiasco when Cerberus decided to go full opposition and slaughtered useful personal and nearly killed Williams. Let's see how the DLC goes as I never had them originally.

@draconiam We definitely have to talk again one you are done with ME3.
To any case, I only saved Ash in first run ME1 (long long time ago) and what happened after made me question my actions. Kaidan have a better scripts and much better acting as a quite confused and the role fits him much better or at least I like him more than that racist spoiled princess. Ash is kind of human which made Cerberus possible so I let her ride the nuke. Also much better cut scene on top of the building (saving Kaidan)
Unlocking Normandy is always from Udina's office the counsellor sit is take by Anderson. My regret is that Udina doesn't have a black eye during last dialog ME1.
I stop Garrus from killing dr. Heart to make sense of "we do the job right not fast".
ME2. Acquire reaper IFF it's kind of the mission triggering the final assault so I keep it to very last. All other loyalty missions and upgrades done. Once I activate Legion the reaper IFF is installed and ready so first attempt to use the shuttle will end up on crew abduction. Legion's loyalty mission require Normandy so it's ok to be done. This way I don't loose any of Normandy crew (including those without name). As for heretics I made no promises until very last point where I reprogram them (you will see why in ME3).
Also on ME2 I use a lot of renegate options like investigating the quarian thief, getting discount for stores and the best use is interrogation where Thane admits is as the shortest in history.
On Tuchanka: killed thresher maw with M2-Cain, spare Maleon and save data.

Progress more in ME3 and we can continue.

    Have fun.

@sweetpoison0011 Actually Ash isn't racist, the Alliance never bothered to have soldiers like her serving with other armies because they wanted to punish her for her grandfather mess (in a comic detailing The Illusive Man origins we see him working for her grandfather, so it's a giant shame that never got explored in ME3 as it could have gave her new perspective on the squeaky clean Alliance she has constanly defended over Cerderus, the Alliance Military Industrial Complex are the main donors to the organization so in ME3 it's more of the System Alliance really using the operatives to get rid of bad PR). If you have her while talking to the Terra Firme party side quest she accuses the party as being a venue for intolerant and disrespectful racists. I find it constanly interesting how people never mentioned how xenophobic Brooks is given that Shepard clone behaviour towards aliens came from her.
And she did has a lot of content in thw third game files that is either bugged or destroyed, which is one of the main complains I stated about this Legendary Edition: it's content already in the game but the company didn't bother to fix it:

We have one of the original cast of characters in the trilogy that Bioware didn't bother to properly make sure her lines were working but nooooo, people keep defending this rushed attempt. If you are remastering something the least you should do is make sure that the same bugs aren't present in the new game.
