I love SAM. I do. I wish he was a possible love interest. 

Still, don't tell me I've got to check my email when I don't. It's annoying.

I think Knights virus messed with SAMs programming.

Thankfully on the field, he still works, mostly. A little too well at times if you ask some.

Hopefully this error in SAMs programming will be corrected at some point. He just thinks you are more popular than you actually are.

I think SAM figured out a way to get a cut of the revenue from the advertising bars on the email server - and is trying to generate hits.

    It seems to me that this message about new email is trigged by where you walk, like the bridge connecting the front to middle section of the ship.

    I haven't tested if it triggers just by the location or if there is an actual link as well to what's in your message box, but I have this feeling that it doesn't actually update the triggers unless you zone for example. So when you arrive at the ship and check your mail and read them, the SAM trigger doesn't get updated until you leave the ship again. So if you walk up and down the ship after checking your mail it'll keep triggering till you've left and come back. It's hard to check because usually by the time you get back you do have new email.

    Either way, checking your mail doesn't reset the trigger automatically.
