Resetting settings
Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I'm experiencing an issue that I couldn't find anywhere else. It happens in ME2 and ME3. Every time I restart the game it resets the controls settings, meaning that the mouse sensitivity is put back to default at 50% and mouse dampening turns on. The same thing happens to Vsync that turns on as well.
I tried to solve this thinking that the save file was being overridden by One Drive, but that turned out not to be the case. I am using EA Desktop to launch the game, tried to repair it via Origin with no avail as well.
What could it possibly be? Is it a bug? I can play the game normally but is kind of annoying to need to change the settings every time I want to play the game.
Did you set the "GamerSettings.ini" to read only?
If not it will be overwritten at any game start.
Try this first.
- Make sure Origin and Steam are closed.
- Go to your "<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME2\BioGame" folder.
(Steam: <drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME2\BioGame" ) - Move the "Config" folder to your desktop.
- Start the game from the MassEfect2.exe running the exe as Administrator. (Right click the exe > Run as Administrator.)
- Apply your settings.
- Test.
