Sell or dismantle weapons/armors

As title.
I am level 17 but I don't inversted anything yet to build better armor or weapons.

I have the deep space armor and basics weapons finded during missions.
I have saving "things" to be able to craft the N7 level 5 armor and some bad * weapon, I would like a biotic built.

During missions I have collected a lot of armors and weapons that I will not use, is it better to sell those items or to dismantle them to get materials?

I played biotic with a valkyrie. I combined pull / throw / charge and thought the valkyrie was a good weapon up close and from a reasonable distance. Asari sword is great for melee takedowns.
