I did the asari ark mission first, outed Sarissa because as useful as her information may or may not have been (evidently not very useful anyway), what she did to the Matriarch was in direct violation of her assigned position as her guardian. Oh, and not to mention backstabbing and cowardly. No place for those types in my Heleus. Also, I feel Vedaria more than makes up for inexperience with her passion and eagerness. Not to mention if you pay attention during the final assault on Meridian, she is clearly a more than capable biotic.
When it came to Raeka I felt given how strongly I felt about Sarissa abandoning her pathfinder, it would've been kinda hypocritical for me to then abandon Raeka, especially after all the help she offers on the flagship (without which they would have been royally screwed). Pretty easy decision made easier by the facts that; 1) I'd already dealt fairly with Morda and her miserable band of krogans by giving them the remtech in exchange for (relative) peace and an outpost, and 2) there seemed to be as many salarians as krogan scouts anyway so it's not like the many outweigh the few in this scenario.
Vederia is at least as competent as I was at the beginning of the game; if I can grow to fill the role I am sure she can too.
Were it just four Salarian or four Krogan it would of been an easy choice for me, but one I would of made the other way. It was the only decision in the game I retconned. First to change from Raeka to scouts, then back again when I decided I had made the right call the first time.
Interesting logic in choices. I chose Raeka because she's the Pathfinder for her species and because the Salarians had already had their numbers decimated. Drack's scouts? They knew the dangers going out there. So the choices boiled down to save a critical person to a species here or save some scouts for my friend. Survival for the Initiative came down to more important. (Thank goodness I'd done Drack's loyalty mission way early).
For the Asari Ark choice, outing Sarissa would have kicked the feet out from under the Asari and the second in command was... really a noob. And I think it made a difference later during the battle at Meridian, as Sarrisa is there using her biotic barrier to defeat some fighters and I think she personally made sure the captain of the Hyperion lived (not 100% of that, though).

So much for your decisions having lasting consequences.

If you don't have all the pathfinders it doesn't happen tho so there is consequences thats just not one of them. The turians must have a pathfinder or no one shields the bridge. Guess they are busy else-where.

I chose the Salarian in my last PT and Scouts in my first. In my last PT choosing the Salarians, I got all of Drack's scenes was that a bug based off my first PT or something?
I did his loyalty mission, gained his loyalty. Had a bar brawl with him. Got to play games with him at the Vortex including a nice little chat about Kesh's LI etc. All after doing the Salarian Ark.

Did you get the great grandpa one? That didn't fire, at least for me, if I didn't choose the scouts. Not getting it wasn't the off-putting part, at least for me. Giving Raeka a hard time about not being dead was.

I have killed more Krogan mercenaries than I do exhalted Krogan. Combined.... no wonder I'm on their wary list.
