what would you guys think about adding a game mechanic that... in theory, combines the careful positioning of your team members, and their skills to alter such situations, assuming it's possible? it would be mostly based on common sense.
for example: you place jaal in an obvious & specific vantage point, where he'd be able to see into the room through the door once opened, you let that roekaar (or however that's spelled) go, and as he starts walking out jaal snipes him?

I would like the idea if not by the probability it would cause tantrums on people there to figure out how to add that to their AI programming.

You might be better off setting it up like the Suicide Mission, so there are 1-2 squadmates (say Jaal and Cora) who could successfully take out the Rokaar boss if ordered, the rest would fail if ordered, and if you didn't order anyone to the mission would proceed as normal

so, for instance if you bring jaal along, you have the sniper option, peebee could use pull to rip him off his feet and render him helpless... liam, vetra, cora, & drack would fail, cora might have been able to do something with charge, perhaps warp behind and disarm him, if not for the whole plague thing, as she's likely to get too close to typhoid mary.

This was already done in a military game years ago. I can't for the life of me remember which one, but you basically had a map of the area to position 3 squad members and you could position them for breaking into a room, cover fire, sniping, etc. Definitely possible and even though it didn't always work perfectly, it worked fairly well and I really enjoyed it. But it takes planning and strategy, so not something a lot of people would enjoy. Me though? I would love it. Wish I could remember the game.
