[Steam] The Overlay doesn't work anymore after Launching Game

The Steam Overlay has been broken ever since being forced to switch from Origin to the new EA app. It does not matter whether it is modded or a fresh install.

I added the EALauncher.exe & EADesktop.exe as a Non-Steam Game.
Running either of those through Steam then launching Mass Effect Legendary Edition from Steam fixed it! 🧙

Can confirm, adding `\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EALauncher.exe` to your Steam Library as a non-steam game, then running that *before* running MELE works to enable the steam overlay in MELE.
