Nexus Mod has an advanced filtering system. I don't like a lot of mods there either (especially the Anime stuff - not my cup of tea), But it is pretty easy to ignore when you filter by endorsements or lore-friendlyness. That is the great thing about mods, you can use what you want and ignore the rest.
The Mass Effect 3 Modding Community is strong and put out some awesome work that makes the game sooooo much better. And I am talking about the different Ending Mods, but the relationship mods or EGM, which actually gives the whole Galactic Readiness Meta Game a purpose to exist. Not to mention every Texture mod. The original textures for ME3 are really bad....
It is true that Skyrim is a different game and Bethesda is counting on the Mod Community to fix their broken vanilla game, BUT the really big Mods for Skyrim, like Enderal, the stuff nobody, even Bethesda thought was possible, did not happen over night. It took years to build and was only possible because Bethesda cared about their Modding Community.
If there is just one great mod for every 50 * mod out there it is worth it!
All that was achieved with NO official tools at hand. Imagine what they could do WITH an actual Mod Kit.......... but one can only hope here.
You see, so far I have put a lot of suggestions (mostly small convenient stuff) on this board, in hope that BioWare might consider some of it

Right no, we are at the mercy of BioWare/EA to implement some of it, but let's be honest here. This kind of stuff is mostly minor and could be easily done by Modders. I want BioWare to focus on REAL content DLCs for ME:A instead. So they should simply give us a watered down version of their tools, so we can fix everything to our liking.
It even makes sense from a sales perspective. Skyrim is still at a relatively high price point six years after it's release and nearly all of the copies out there are genuine. So it even prevents people from pirating it and modding actually sells DLCs for the company. This is due to the fact that modders only offer tech support for people with a genuine copy and DLCs are also used a resources for further mods, so they are required.
Honestly guys. I don't see anything against this but wrongly understood protectionism that makes no sense when you think about this.
