Did anyone else feel that the Moshea's bloody-mindness during her rescue (and anger right after) felt forced? Every other interaction you have seem to paint a woman that feels saving/serving the Angarians is her life's work.
She's a bit pissy at times, especially post Meridian if you don't make her boss. She loves the Angara, but thinks you personally suck sometimes
I can understand her being a little cranky with me about dealing with the Kett - after being tortured for who knows how long and learning that the Kett are zombified Angara. She also has really no idea who I am or what I want/am doing (and why) at that point. Drack is just as big of a fill-in-the-blank when I don't do what he wants with exhaltation... and he knows me.
I did, basically, just rescue her because I had to - and to get her to do something for me. We all probably would have done so anyways but... that's why we're there.
Torture me and turn my people into zombies and I'm probably going to go all "give no quarter" too. 🙂
Another arrogant ingrate as far as I am concerned. Regardless of her intellect & position, being saved after being captured and tortured for a long period of time and Ryder saves her, first thing she did was to give him attitude "Oh I feel for your people as you clearly do not feel for mine". Next thing you know she's going "Oh Akksul!". One of the reasons she will never be ambassador in my game.

Not at all. Some people may be pacifists in general but let someone do something unbelievably horrible to them, their people, and or their loved ones and you'll find they are not likely to maintain a pacifist approach in that situation.
That place stood for something absolutely unthinkably horrible and she was willing to die if it meant that place died as well. Made/makes sense.
And then interactions with her after that, made sense as well. Sure I didn't like how she wasn't going to be okay with me not blowing the base up no matter what I said, but it definitely made sense to me.
I do think there are aspects in this game regarding situations and or characters that felt/seemed forced but this was not one of them for me personally.

Actually, she specifically said she wanted the facility destroyed, even if it meant her own death *and* disregarded Jaal when he mentions that not only are their soldiers, but their techs and scientists, too.

I am curious, how come you don't think her point of view of thinking the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few?
I have never decided to detonate the base personally so I disagree with her, but I personally felt like she was making total sense. Why do you think she wasn't?
two things, the assumption that bases elsewhere wouldn't pick up the slack, or that additional bases would not be constructed or converted. in my opinion destroying the base wouldn't have spared more people form exaltation, might have even sped it up.
and second, under my original assumption above, you'd be spending more angaran lives for basically nothing. or at best a short reprieve.
but, that's just how i see the situation.

i guess i should also note that we're never told if there are more than one single exaltation facility, i think logically if exaltation is so vital to the kett's existence, and they've got the capacity to create enough kett to keep the war-effort moving, there has to much more then just that one, there have to be several, i'd even bet there's several such facilities on voeld itself. though i've got no proof, just logic, common sense, and my eyes.

if you're asking why the kett cardinal was pleading so seriously, and willing to make a bargain? it's simple psychology. to me it seems the facility is like some kind of religious temple, as well as an exaltation compound. she's pleading because the structure itself has religious significance. like a mosque, church, or a cathedral.

I just played that mission and yes it does feel not only forced but also out of place.
So I save her people even though she wanted to blow the base up. Then she says she cares more about my people than I do about hers (based on what?) and gets snippy about it. Next thing, she turns sugar sweet indicating that she'd gladly answer any of my questions.
