Tricky question about main quest 'Journey to Meridian' -spoiler-

I decided to proceed on this quest by going to speak with nexus' leaders. Then I saw that Asari and Salarian (from the respective arc I rescued) shown up to support Ryder's initiative. But I haven'...

If you don't convince Avitus to become the new pathfinder for the Turians he won't be there to support in the end fight and can't protect the Hyperion with the other pathfinders. Therefore Captain Dunn dies. You need all three additional Pathfinders to save her.

If that is the case then, does anyone know if you get another Salarian pathfinder if you save the Krogan and let the Salarian die?

you chose the krogan scouts(which in my 3 playthroughs I never(I mean come on Raeka vs some generic scouts)!! You get the salarian pilot (Herik or something) taking over and he kowtows to Tann.

So basically my question is:

should I do Turian ark mission before going to speak to leaders or it doesn't matter?

Do it, it matters. You need the turian pathfinder.
