As a workaround, you could perhaps make a note of your ME1 face code, select Custom Appearance at the start of ME2, then enter your ME1 code, and edit out these mistakes.
I know, not very convenient, but maybe it helps.
This is horribly disappointing.
We were told that Legendary Edition would have a unified character creator. One of the official articles showed a custom Shepard in all three games to demonstrate that your appearance would now stay the same. This is NOT the case in LE.
Besides, none of this makes any sense. If it's the same character creator for all three games now, WHY would this be happening?
