They said there will be no narrative changes. I agree that Zaeed and Kasumi, being DLC characters, felt a little barebones. At least Kasumi's loyalty mission had more substance than Zaeed's.
Regardless, it would be difficult to update conversations for Zaeed, because his actor, Robin Sachs, died in 2013.
