Yeah i encountered the non-freezing bug too in the first playthrough. The first room was hazard 2 then after i opened the gate it became normal so i was able to explore the vault without worrying about my life support. Though i didnt know the whole vault supposed to be a hazard 2 area, only realized it in my second playthrough and i was wondering if its always been like this since i didnt remember anything like that.

Same here, I took no environment damage in the Vault on my 1st play through, I didn't even know it was supposed to happen.
I entered on my 2nd play through and I thought I was bugged. After reloading a couple of times and not being able to 'fix' it I just decided to deal with it. It wasn't until I really thought out how the vault is set up that I realized that it was supposed to be that way and it was actually my first run that was bugged.

Personally, I have not encountered any such issues during my playthrough after 1.07 patch. Was playing on PlayStation 4. But thanks for all the reports. Can you also tell us, what platform you were playing Mass Effect: Andromeda on?
