We should be able to board Tempest without leaving the planet

It is ridiculous that every time I board the Tempest the check the email, respec or allocate AVP points, I have to wait for the animation of Tempest launching and leaving the ground. It also doesn't make any sense lorewise, especially since many times I leave the planet, only to receive an email inviting me to a party or meetup on that same planet again. This should be fixed in a patch.

  • May not be easy. Those animations / mini-cutscenes are there to cover up the loading process.

For example each time you board the ship the surface-orbit cutscene is played while the Tempest interior is loaded. Orbit to surface, the same. If they weren't there, you'd proably be staring at a static loading screen instead.

It should not take that long to load such a small area as the Tempest. And its not like the game doesnt already feature you on the ship while landed. You can see the Nexus landing bay on the displays when you first take control of the ship. Plus we should have a room at the station for accommodation where we can change gear etc.

Its just easier to have it the way we do now, and its like this because of time crunch during production. Its a shame but its what it is.

Well, the ship sits on the planet once landed. So it could be made like a building on the planet that gives you access to everything in your ship as if it were your ship. Then when you go to your galaxy map and press lift off, you get the mini-cutscene. This would enable accessing your ship planet side while maintaining the cutscene set up.

That would be my solution anyway.

See i feel your pain. But hear me out, depsise my comment im about to lay on you, i totally 100% agree with you and they should def. change that.

So the nexus is the most boring part IMO of the campaign. This man makes a very valid point. However there is a avp cyropod in the operations wing, there is also a few other spots to do what you could on your personal ship but the time that takes to travel to that many places just to do all that, on top of you could just fix this on maybe all systems/planets. Just because you enter the spacecraft doesnt mean it HAS to depart? why not put it in a freakin parking garage for that matter! (srry bad at jokes). But I think this rule should definitely be enforced to make this game a little less confusing and easier to maintain.

i wouldn't mind bringing back something like the airlock scene in me1. and that VI announcing that you're on deck... it just added that little touch of detail i miss.
