What Really Happened? (Spoilers Read at Own Risk)

What if alec ryder is still alive. and is going after the one known as the benefactor. is it possible that alec faked his own death to give himself the room needed to work in secret and only Dr. lexi knows the truth. its funny even after finding out hes dead we never see  some type of funeral or memorial. its just hes dead move on. we already know there are hidden rooms on the nexus. who's to say alec didn't have one too? its possible SAM has knowledge of this as well and has locks on this info. there are many other things i could think of but i want to know what everyone else thinks and what your opinion is on if he is alive or not and if he is what is he up too?

Wait...at the beginning of "Planetside", Ryder could repair his/her own helmet faceplate with the omni tool, but at the end he/she couldn't?  Why not? Ryder is not shown even trying to repair it. I found that strange. To the point that Alec "had" to remove his own helmet to place on his child to save their life. It certainly could have been that the faceplate was too far gone and Ryder realized it, but still......something to think about.

Yes indeed, and all that role-play with his death,  tells me Alec is going to be alive as an element of surprise. I could be wrong, but still no fuss or comment was made regarding Alec's body or funeral.

If SAM could kill and revive the kid,  it can do the same with Alec. Apparently SAM could activate itself in all the Ryders, which tells me they all have an implant which is not active unless needed or instructed SAM to activate it.

Alec must've had a secondary plan in case something goes wrong.

Just like he didn't mention anything about his wife being hidden in a cryopod, except leaving clues. He could've easily instructed SAM to play the "part" and keep quiet. :eahigh_file:

what i actually liked the most about gw2, i just had to pay that first $30 for the game, and that's it... none of that 15 bucks a month bs. and yes, i did find it an enjoyable game too. i really liked how the weapon/skill combos worked out. but that's just me. though it's been years since i've played it. when i get into just about any mmo, at some point i'll get to a place where i'm sick to death of all mmo's for a good long while... till my friends tempt me back to em. think i've been strictly single-player for about 5 years or so by now.

I don't mind paying a sub if the game is worth it. To me it was just a big kiddie game, bordering on my little pony level. I've played GW2 twice...on release and after the expansion came out. In both instances leveling characters was a chore and what was fun in the game to me only lasted so long. It just has no long-term appeal to me. The first time around I quite enjoyed doing the jumping puzzles and the second time around I enjoyed gaining the gliding abilities. For the rest it was just a chaotic mess running from one so called event to another.

To each their own of course but I don't see how you could play it for that long. Leveling characters alone is dead boring. Even Anet admitted that by bringing items into the game that allow you to skip levels.

I hear you about MMOs though. I have reached that point via SWTOR. Just sick and tired of MMOs and the falling quality of expansions and hoping for things that never come....and in SWTOR you can actually pay yourself blue on cosmetic gamble packs since there isn't much else to do. Nah, enough of that.

The thing is though, Ellen never did die

This point is completely irrelevant. Whether it's a matter of presumed dead or really dead and being ressurrected, the gimmick is the same: you thought someone was dead and presto, here they are again.

With Ellen I didn't mind so much because it was well done, but they should've left it at that. Having your Ryder die and be brought back was just unnecessary. And if Alec also comes back from the dead (because let's be honest, we don't reallly know if he died all the way or not), then it's just pure, lazy writing. It gets cheapened with each instance especially if it's within the same game.

I spent most of my time in gw2 doing dungeon runs and that battlefield mode, though I did run through the story too.

As for ME, bioware, and EA... At this point I'd be more surprised if they stopped killing off & resurrecting their protagonists.
