Where Is The M-92 Mantis Sniper Rifle?

Hi. After fully finishing my first play through of the game I realised that the M-92 Mantis is not in the game.

It has been in all other Mass Effect titles. I like that rifle. It was powerful but preferably when it was on the characters back it compressed to a nice, small size. The Widow/Black Widow look too big so I never used them.

Is there any way this rifle can be introduced back into the game through future DLC please. I have attached a pic for reference on what it looks like. If it is indeed in the game I would love to know where it is.

Ok. I think we are missing the point now. Can it just be possible that it can be added in future DLC? That's all I ask. As of right now there is no Mantis Sniper rifle in MEA. It being in ME1 is irrelevant.

Even then, no, they weren't. The closest direct analogue in ME1 is the Rosenkov Volkov line. In ME2/3, the Viper is pretty much a renamed Volkov, and fits because they share the same manufacturer.

IIRC, the M-97 Viper is considered an upgrade of the M-92 Mantis. Yeah, it does less damage per shot, but it's semi-auto versus single shot.

Also, as a nitpick, the Mantis, Viper, etc., were never in ME1.

Fair enough it wasn't called the mantis but since there were only 2 types of looking weapon. One typed looked like the mantis

I think they were both technically in 1 (the skins). they just named them in 2.
