I always find excessive multistep exits irksome, and MEA on PC at least is one of the worst. You exit MP, wait for the title screen to load (which is far from instant, then you have to hit the space bar, wait a short bit for the main menu to pop up, click exit to desktop, ,confim, ,then your done. Why cant we have an "exit to desktop" option easily available at all times? I understand you have saves and shut down procedures....but one click to exit the game , wait for it to do what it needs to do and then boom your done....no multiple "building shaders" screens that can hang for several minutes and multiple button presses just to quit the game. I need to quit, I should be able to click quit, confirm and done.....but no.....Why???

You can always alt tab and then right click ME in the bottom bar and close window.

You mean like hitting Alt+F4?Closes the game nice and easy. :D No loading screens or anything!But yes, the lack of "exit game" from MP is unfortunate.

I do agree.Sure I could use windows shortcuts or hardreset my PC.But a simple option like 'exit to desktop' or 'exit to main menu' would suffice and shouldn't be hard to implement (and why wasn't it done in the first place?!).And honestly I do not understand this title screen which you have to leave with space bar at all. I did not understand it in M1 & ME2 and I do not get it in ME:A.Efficient user ergonomics looks different, no click should be redundant...

What?! you mean after 5 years in the making, they didn't put a nice rage quit button in? This is an outrage! (i jest)I've alt-f4'd a few times when i've really needed to shutdown quickly, and its not affected my game at all on subsequent boot-ups.I do agree though that a nice exit to desktop feature would be nice where it would just ensure nothing important for the game is running before it kills the game in memory.

With win10 you can also just use Windows Key + Tab, then open 2nd desktop, task manager and exit program.If you're finding that Alt F4 doesn't work or is slow or are unable to Alt + Tab to desktop, sometimes tabbing just doesn't want to work.It might help in some cases to open a web browser before launching the game, which helps you tab faster, as there's something to tab to. Then it's just a case of closing the window or opening task manager..As for the issue, you're asking for a menu option which unloads multiplayer.. to enter menu, to then exit. The reason it's slow.. is because your pc is slow.

That is almost insulting to OP and to anybody who regards the current procedure as not efficient or user orientated.

I mean Microsoft was dissed years ago, because ending Windows was too inconvenient to use.
And the Macintosh computer was praised and loved for its intuitive and easy to use UI (one button mouse! - no joke).
Andromeda doesn't appear as a marvel in programming already, no wonder people refrain from forcing Windows to close the task.

I guess for the same reason we have to press space key EVERY SINGLE TIME we launch the game as it must be incrediby hard to take us directly to the menu...

I'm not really sure I understand the problem. Alt+F4 is the universal 'close application' shortcut on Windows and it also works in this game.

I don't have a 'quit to desktop' when hitting options/settings. Maybe your version is more deluxe than mine? 🙂

For me the fastest way to exit the game BTW is to go to leaderboards, scroll with the mouse wheel and the game crashes. Works 100% of the time for me :eahigh_file:
