why cant we take our story line from mass effect 1,2,3 into mass effect 4
why cant we take our story line from mass effect 1,2,3 into mass effect 4 or have it to where you can either continue shephard's story or have it as a new game?????

As far as I know, no info on save imports has been revealed, but I don't visit the official forums anymore so I'm a bit out of the loop.
A common fan theory is that the exodus to Andromeda begins before the ending of Mass Effect 3, which means the ME3 endings won't have any effect on Mass Effect Andromeda. Other choices may have some minor impact, but as far as I'm aware, ME:A will have no returning characters.
